As Valentine’s day approaches many of us are thinking about that special person in our lives and how we can show our love to them. Today, I want to share a simple practice that opens the heart center so that we can be truly present with ourselves and our partners.

It’s easy to buy a hallmark card and chocolates, but are you willing to let your love light truly shine?

The Technique

The process below is known as EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique, and it’s an immediately effective tool that heals our inner blocks and helps us flourish in our relationship to others. The technique is easy to learn – it involves tapping your fingers on specific points on the face and upper torso while you repeat a mantra of forgiveness and acceptance out loud.

The points you tap on activate subtle energy channels of the body, known as meridians. For thousands of years, healers in China have understood the power of using these points to aid the mind and body. In fact, the first drawing of energy meridians dates back over 3000 years!

A common thread that weaves together all elements of the EFT tapping ritual is self-forgiveness.  Sometimes it’s much easier to forgive others than to truly forgive ourselves for the faults we perceive we have. But this is the key to defeating old patterns and truly enjoying life and our lover, unconditionally.

If you’re ready, I’d like to share 3 powerful EFT meditations that will clear undesirable feelings and refresh your spirit so that you are fully connected to the one you love.

The free video below is invaluable if you want to take your relationship to the next level.

  1. Nick, excellent post, thanks for bringing our attention to this powerful technique. I would venture to say this would help us with any of the relationships in our lives, not just our love partners… our children, parents, grandparents, friends, colleagues…
